Road to the next destination. The road has a lot of washboards (nothing new there), but it's no worse than many others -- until the talc pit at 5 miles from the end, and the rock steps from there on.
'talc pit' - very dry dirt, ground to the approximate consistance of talcum powder, more than a foot deep, and more than 100 yards long. (a few go arounds in use)
